Dear PSA Director,

Faith leaders in Georgia are a powerful voice of influence and have proven to have the unique ability to change public policies and initiatives.

Under the banner “Faith in Public Life” the voices of Georgia’s prominent faith leaders are being raised to address the importance of voting, and encourage everyone, especially minority populations, to vote this year. They want to be sure the options are clear: citizens can vote early, they can vote by mail, or they can go to the polls on Election Day, November 4, 2014.

In the last ten years, the population of Georgia increased 18%, however, that increase was not reflected in the number of registered voters. Simply put – Georgians have not been fully represented at the polls. Minority populations are much less likely to vote. Efforts have recently been made to register the more than 800,000 African Americans, Latinos and Asian American eligible to vote in Georgia.

Every vote counts, so we hope that you will make your listeners aware of all the ways they can cast their vote by placing this PSA in heavy rotation between now and Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Francys Johnson, President, NAACP GA Conference

Rev. Jennifer Butler, CEO Faith in Public Life
