Microsoft Hosts Thousands of Developers in Seattle at Build 2017

(Seattle, Washington, Thursday, May 11, 2017) – Yesterday at Build, Microsoft Corp. announced new cloud, data, and AI technologies designed to help developers modernize existing apps, more easily infuse intelligence into every new app they build and quickly distribute those apps all major clouds and platforms. Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO, welcomed thousands developers to ‘Cloud City’- a reference to the depth of cloud innovation coming out of the Seattle metropolitan area.

During his keynote, Nadella announced that Windows had reached 500 million monthly active users and noted how – together – Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Azure offer developers more than a billion opportunities to connect their innovations with Microsoft customers. 

Nadella focused on the company’s goal to make the power of AI available to everyone.
